Family fun and activities - competely free!

 

Bring your children (age 3 and above) to the Family circus and get inspired in the Creative Sport Center in Seppälä (Ahjokatu 8). Groups will be supervised by our skillful counsellors.

Family circus will be held both on Thursday 26.11 and Friday 27.11 at 9.30am – 11.00am. The groups have room for 24 pre-registered participants.

It's fun to bake together!

 

We welcome you to bake cupcakes at Veturitallit. You can come alone or together with friends and make eachothers some delicious cupcakes. You can decorate your cupcakes in any way you want, so you can also use your creativity. You can take your cupcake home or eat it right away. If you doubt your baking skills don't worry, you are going to have instructors to help you. The most important thing is to relax together by baking. It's fine if you don't make it at 5 pm, you can jump in until 8 pm. We will continue baking on Friday if we still have eager bakers and enough supplies.

Billiard & Fifa tournaments @Club Players

The Orange tempest is organizing an event which combines e-sports and billiard. In the event the visiters can choose between billiard or Fifa and join in one tournament. Tournaments will be held on Thursday 26.11, 16pm at Club Players in Jyväskylä (Yliopistonkatu 36). The purpose of the event is to bring people to play with each other instead of playing alone. E-sports have increased their popularity recent years and we want to mix that with more traditional game billiard.

 

The winners of the tournaments will be awarded. The entering prize is 4 euros and you can sign up to the event on our Facebook page.

Orange Tempest takes over the Craftmuseum of Finland!

 

Turn your old worn out clothes into something new and stylish in our tuning workshop, and continue with crafting Christmas decorations or cards from secondhand materials! Students of Jyväskylä Educational Consortium give demonstration on pin loom weaving.

 

Our PopUp –craft cafe serves you during your visit with sweet and salty pastry. Free entrance to Craftmuseum’s exhibitions the whole day!

My Jyväskylä-workshops @Alvar Aalto-museum

My Jyväskylä-workshops are created for bringing out your own ideas and sharing them with other people - this brainstorming can lead to some new exciting innovations! In this occation, we hope to hear what are your favourite places in Jyväskylä and why. We all create different aspects of our living cities and that's what makes these workshops interesting.

 

My memories of Jyväskylä

This workshop is for sharing your memories about Jyväskylä. You can bring old photographs from town which we can discuss about and if you want, we can scan the pictures and convert them also in digital format.

 

My Jyväskylä in recent pictures

The second workshop of the day includes a visit in Jyväskyläs center. There participants can photograph some elements which are nowadays important in Jyväskylä. Expert or not, we invite all photographers to this workshop who are interested to keep our city memorized! 

 

You can participate only in one of the workshops or both.

Childrens and youngsters culturecenter Kulttuuriaitta and Jyväskylä's circus school invites everyone at all ages to a very special circustour. On Circus arrived to the city -show you can go on a ride with an imaginary circus that went on a tour in Finland in the 1900s.

 

In this colorful show children can, for example, take a look in funny circus wagons and sit on a minielephant.

The Orange Tempest @Shopping centre Forum

The Orange Tempest is storming all over Forum!

 

In the Forum Shopping centre, you can experience many different performances on Saturday (November 28). For example, Jaguars Spirit Athletes ry will be on stage with their stunning cheerleaders and later the pole dancers from the dancing club Ready Set Pole will entertain us more. In addition, Jyväskyläs academy of dance is presentating us some of Forum's clothing stores seasonal newbies (Only, Bik Bok, Vero Moda and Cubus) on a fashion show. In the afternoon, theatre Osuuskunta Kuje will be performing us.

 

After the dancing shows, the dance instructors are eager to answer your questions and giving sale coupons to their classes. This is something you do not want to miss!

A thing with the foreboding face of a murky stranger. Pidä rakkautes (Go Love Yourself) is a dark comedy-drama with romantic overtones. It is based on a theatrical play of the same name, written and directed by Aino Martiskainen in Jyväskylä, Finland 2013 for Jyväskylän Kansannäyttämö theatre.

 

You can also meet the director Johannes Myllymäki and he is willing to answer your questions about the movie.
